Crystal Palace told to pay £20m if they want Sakho

Crystal Palace are unlikely to be signing Mamadou Sakho on deadline day, unless they agree to pay £20million for the signature of the Liverpool defender.

Although the France international is out of favour at Anfield, Jurgen Klopp is in no mood to let him leave the club for less than the £18million the club paid Paris Saint German for him in 2013.

Sakho has played 80 times for the Reds in all competitions, but he has a frosty relationship with Klopp who has yet to select him for a first team fixture this season.

Sam Allardyce has already bolstered his Eagles defence with the £14million acquisition of Sunderland’s Patrick van Aanholt, and he was also hoping to secure Sakho.

Indeed, the 23-year-old has reportedly been spotted at London Euston which has increased the speculation, but Sky Sports claim Liverpool are holding out for £20million.
