Juventus have made Edin Dzeko a top target for the summer, although they may have to review their £15million valuation.
Bosnia and Herzegovina international Dzeko has been at the Etihad Stadium since January 2011, when Roberto Mancini forked out £27million of his budget to lure him from Wolfsburg. The striker has gone on to make 180 appearances in all competitions, scoring 70 goals and helping the Blues win two Premier League titles an FA Cup and a League Cup.
The 29-year-old has scored some crucial goals during his time in England, but he is currently considered to be third in the pecking order for a central role behind Argentine ace Sergio Aguero and Wilfried Bony, the recent £25million signing from Swansea City. And this has led to speculation he could be offloaded when the transfer window reopens.
According to The Mirror Juventus have made Dzeko their top target for the summer, and are willing to offer £15million to take him from City. However, it is unlikely the Blues would consider letting him go for such a fee, particularly as the player only signed a new contract earlier this season which is designed to keep him in Manchester until 2018.
Dzeko isn’t the only City forward who has an uncertain future, with Stevan Jovetic also believed to be a potential exit ahead of next season. The Montenegrin has played just 39 times since he arrived in July 2013 from Fiorentina, with a string of injuries preventing the 25-year-old from showing just why the club paid £23million for his signature.
