Kenny Jackett has added Danny Graham to his Wolverhampton Wanderers squad, and believes the striker can boost their bid for promotion.
Wolves returned to the Championship after winning the League One title last season, and have continued their good form this term. Although the Molineux side haven’t won in any of their last three outings – they were thumped 5-0 at Derby County last weekend – they are currently ninth in the table, just two points adrift of a playoff place and five behind the leaders.
Jackett has been keen to add more firepower to his squad as they look to maintain a bid for a successive promotion, especially after letting Yannick Sagbo return to Hull City following a disappointing loan spell. Graham, who has a proven goalscoring record in the second-tier, will link up with Wolves until the end of the calendar year after failing to find regular action with Sunderland.
“We feel this is a very good move for us,” Jackett told the club’s official site. “He has the goalscoring record that we are looking for and experience of playing in the Championship. With our forward line he brings another dimension now with his experience and goalscoring record. We look forward to him starting with us on Monday and working with the squad towards the Nottingham Forest game.”
