Ipswich Town take Manchester City winger on loan

Bersant Celina will spend the coming season on loan at Ipswich Town.

The highly-rated Kosovo international winger has been at Manchester City since 2012, and made two appearances for their first team during the 2015-16 campaign.

Celina found regular action whilst on loan at FC Twente last term, scoring five goals in 28 matches for the Dutch side, and he will now continue his education at Portman Road.

“Ipswich is a big club, has a big history and it’s a good place for me to be at this moment,” the winger told the official club website. “I can’t wait to get going – to train with the players and to play for the team. I had a good loan spell in Holland last season. That helped me become a better player and hopefully it can be the same here. I’m looking forward to doing what I can.”

It has already been a busy summer for Ipswich manager Mick McCarthy, who has also added Jordan Spence, Joe Garner, Emyr Huws and Tom Adeyemi to his squad.
