Striker prepared to wait for Swansea City talks

Luke Moore will wait until the summer to discuss his Swansea City future.

The former Aston Villa youngster has only featured in 12 Premier League matches this season, and only one of these have come from a starting position. Moore scored his first goal in 11 matches on Saturday afternoon, when he came off the substitute bench to secure a 1-0 win over Newcastle United at the Liberty Stadium.

With his contract set to expire in the summer the striker faces an uncertain future, but he has revealed he will not be rocking the boat by seeking talks with manager Michael Laudrup just yet. Instead, he will continue to work away in the hope of getting more time for the recently crowned Capital One Cup winners.

“It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that I’ve been frustrated this season,” he said. “When you’re not playing, it can be a lonely place. But I haven’t asked for a meeting with Michael because I don’t think it’s the right time. I’m just getting on with things. There’s no point in moping about. I need to finish the season as best as I can. That’s all I can do.”
