Birmingham City take Arsenal duo on season-long loans

Birmingham City have signed Arsenal duo Carl Jenkinson and Cohen Bramall on loan for the remainder of the fledgling season.

Jenkinson previously spent two years on loan at West Ham United, although a cruciate knee injury resulted in a premature end to his second campaign. The fullback, 25, failed to appear for the Gunners in the Premier League last term, but will hope for regular first team action as he drops down a division.

Bramall was a January signing from non-league Hednesford, and was part of the first-team squad which toured Australia ahead of the current season. The 21-year-old fullback has yet to make his bow for the Emirates Stadium club, and will look to gain some experience with Harry Redknapp’s side.

Meanwhile, Birmingham are also interested in signing Marvin Johnson, according to Sky Sports. The highly-rated winger joined Oxford United from Motherwell in a £650,000 deal last summer, and the League One club have already rejected an offer in region of £1million from Hull City this month.
